Saturdays Just Got More Cinematic on VisionTV

Saturdays on VisionTV are made for great stories, and now they’re about to get a whole lot more cinematic with a full afternoon of warm, cozy and compelling drama every week.

Starting November 9, the captivating Canadian period drama Bomb Girls will air weekly at 3pm ET, leading into our Great Saturday Movie double feature at 4 & 6pm ET.

Set in a Toronto munitions factory in 1942, Bomb Girls tells the story of five exceptional women who step up to help the war effort by building the bombs that keep their overseas husbands and family members alive and fighting. While these women find a strong sense of empowerment in their new roles, they also face tremendous challenges that come with dangerous working conditions, sexual harassment, and crossing social boundaries for the very first time.

Following Bomb Girls, our first of two Saturday afternoon movies keeps the drama coming at 4pm ET.

Reel Love – Saturday Nov. 16

Reel Love starring LeAnn Rimes, Burt Reynolds, Shawn Roberts

LeAnn Rimes stars as a successful, big-city girl who returns to her small-town roots after a family emergency. Her character embarks on a soulful, comedic journey to reconnect with family and friends and find meaningful romance along the way. Starring LeAnn Rimes, Shawn Roberts and Christian Potenza (2011).

Eve and the Fire Horse – Saturday Nov. 23

Eve is a precocious nine year-old girl with a wild imagination growing up in a traditional Chinese immigrant family in Vancouver where Confucian doctrines abound. When Buddhism and Catholicism are thrown into the mix, life for Eve and her sister escalates into a fantasia of catastrophe, sainthood and cultural confusion. Starring Phoebe Jojo Kut and Hollie Jo (2005).

Plus, our annual 5 Weeks of Christmas kicks off the week of Nov. 25 with beautiful holiday movies, specials and music until the end of December, including Christmas movies every Saturday at 4pm ET. Schedule coming soon!

Finally, Cinematic Saturdays wrap up with the wonderful Lost Letter Mysteries series each and every week at 6pm ET. These sweet, funny and uplifting stories follow four postal office workers who track down the intended recipients of lost mail to solve crimes, reunite old loves and change futures. With an endless sea of forgotten mail just waiting to be delivered, there’s always a new mystery to solve and a lesson to be learned by our lovable team of postal detectives.

After a long wait from our passionate POStables fan base, a brand new instalment of the Lost Letter Mysteries series is currently in the works and can be expected to premiere in 2020!
